Před dvěma lety všichni herci v Ypsilonce psali do prosincového programu svá vánoční přání. Já jsem chtěl od Ježíška konečně pravé kožené kopačky a dlouhé trenýrky. Jako fotbalový žák Sparty jsem rok co rok marně hledal pod stromkem adidasky. Jenže to bylo v době, kdy se čekalo na světlé zítřky a mandarinky byly právě jen na Vánoce. Existence kiwi nám byla utajena. Adidasky, pravé kopačky, byly drahé a nedostupné. Až jako ligový dorostenec jsem od rodičů místo gumotextilek dostal ilmie! Východoněmecké boty, které v rychlém sprintu, když jsem svižně utíkal po lajně, připomínaly pumy! Nesměl jsem se ovšem zastavit. V tom okamžiku kouzlo vyprchalo a já stál na trávníku v neforemných botkách s chabým žlutým proužkem. Jo, to byla tenkrát doba rychlých sprintů a tajuplných představ. Každý plácek se během mžiku stával stadionem Realu Madrid nebo Interu Milán. Kdo z kluků se právě zmocnil míče, rozbíhal se k brance s výkřikem jména svého oblíbeného hráče. Ano, teď se po křídle řítí Gento, křičel hráč a zároveň kontroloval odskakující míč. Tenkrát se muselo umět nejen s balonem, ale i jazykem. Každý hráč souběžně komentoval své akce. A tak se po školňáku honili Garrincha i Facchetti, ale protože jsme byli vlastenci, tak hlavně Mráz, Jurkanin a Kvašňák! Běhalo se všude. I mimo hřiště. Kolega z Ypsilonky Rosťa Novák vyprávěl, jak kdysi ve výkladu vinohradského pramene objevil plakát dívky, která, když přivřel oči a rychle okolo proběhl, připomínala jeho milovanou. Co se Rosťa naběhal okolo té výlohy po vinohradské ulici! Být zamilovaný vyžadovalo tenkrát i dobrý trénink. Dnes, v době computerů, to zamilované ani nenapadne. Běhat! Se svou milou si chatují, a když je potřeba se vidět, tak si mailem pošlou obrázek. V té době, co jsem hrál fotbal v ilmiích a Rosťa běhal po Vinohradech,strýc Oldy Kaisera v Liberci koupil první skůtr! Jezdil pyšně po náměstí a ukazoval na vysoké plexisklo na řídítkách. Kdyby začalo pršet, křičel nadšeně na okolohledící závistivý dav, tak schoulím hlavu za to plexi, a když pojedu dost rychle, ani nezmoknu! Jak říkám, byla to doba, kdy se člověk nesměl zastavit... Později na vojně v AUSu jsme se potkali s Markem Ebenem. Ani už nevím jak vznikla naše hra na Hnusné dárky. Snad to byla reakce na všudypřítomný stále větší hon po dárcích a ztrátu původního smyslu Vánoc. Smysl té hry tkvěl v tom, že dárek měl být opravdu ošklivý až hnusný, ale vždy doma vystavený. Jako vrcholný dar jsme si tenkrát určili umělohmotný krb, který zapojený do sítě, podivuhodně narudle pableskoval svými bakelitovými polínky. Ten úžasný krb stál ovšem úctyhodných 5 tisíc a to jsme tenkrát opravdu neměli. Jednou jsem od Marka dostal kýčovitou porcelánovou sochu tenisty při rozmáchlém forhendu. Kolik lidí se mě doma natrápilo otázkou proč mám na knihovně tak příšernou věc...

Za tu hanbu jsem se ovšem Markovi pomstil vánočním dárkem. V Klatovech jsem v prodejně hudebních nástrojů objevil balalajku! Ošklivou, malovanou, udělanou z překližky! Navíc v době tuhé normalizace to byl skvostný dar. Už jsem viděl ty rozpačité pohledy návštěvníků rodiny Ebenů, až v hudebním salónu spatří ten vymalovaný ruský kousek.

Balajka stála pouhých 180 korun a to jsem do dárku ochotně investoval.

Prodavač mi nástroj vložil do igelitového pytle a přiložil mi k němu ještě stručný návod na použití. Jak jsem zajásal, když jsem si jej přečetl! V návodu ve dvou jazycích i písmech stálo: První struna se nazývá strunou A a ladí se 440 herz. Nebo podle ucha. Na tento nástroj můžete hrát až do mínus 40ti stupňů celsia! Konečně jsem pochopil, proč se na balalajku tak zvláštně třesavě drnká. Marek dlouho vydržel s tímto ohavným dárkem, ale po letech po vzájemné dohodě balalajku věnoval do jednoho představení v Ypsilonce. Snad i proto jsem se i já v divadle dočkal. Před dvěma lety jsem dostal od Ježíška ze Strašnic dlouhé fešácké trenýrky a opravdické kožené kopačky! Hraje se mi v nich opravdu hezky. Jsou skoro stejně pohodlné jako gumotextilky.
